Up for a laugh?
One of the funniest stand ups I ever saw was in a little pub in Kilmarnock.
The tavern was practically empty and I really felt for the guy but he turned out to be really unphased and sent himself up expertly.
The small band of spectators gave him riotous applause and went home with beaming smiles on their mugs. Alas I can't think of his name right this second but I would think that he will have played to bigger audiences since then.
For me, the Edinburgh Festival proves to be a huge amount of pleasure but also it can be overwhelming with lots to pick from.
The guidebook to all the sports events and gigs will be as heavy as a yellow pages so you have to take lots of time to suitably survey what is available if you would like to be absolutely sure to catch the smartest of the Festival's shows.
